Our Story
Sierra H Multimedia was founded by U.S. Air Force Veteran Jay Brentlinger and Air National Guard Veteran Steve Szalay. The company is locally owned and operated by their families. Mr. Brentlinger and Mr. Szalay, both Captains, met while flying F 104 fighter jets at Luke Air force Base in Phoenix, Arizona in the mid 1950’s. Between the two of them, they successfully flew missions in Korea, Germany and throughout Europe. Our company name, Sierra H Broadcasting, is a tribute to the bond our partners had and the commitment they made to serve our country. “Sierra H” is aviator slang for “SH*T HOT”. This slang is a military pilot’s favorite all-purpose expression of approval – a term of excitement, joy and high praise. Sierra H Multimedia salutes all Veterans past and present and continually thanks them for their service in protecting us!

At Sierra H Multimedia, we are live and local, and our mission is to provide our listeners with the best music, entertainment, and real-time community information. Our advertisers experience excellent results from all of our multimedia platforms: on-air content and promotions, digital solutions, live entertainment, and community events. We create a family environment for our employees with a culture that allows for personal and professional growth, as well as fun! We collaborate with community organizations that embrace our local, diverse culture, such as Local First Arizona, Chicanos Por La Causa, and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, to name a few.
